A parade of aberrant organisms which have arrived since 1986

In the days of old, before humanity had advanced to our current state, we were caught within an age of monsters. We have often dismissed these as pure fantasy or misinterpretations of natural fauna.
However, these monsters weren't naturally occurring on Earth. Rather, they had traveled from alternate worlds into ours. In our primitive states, we built legends, folktales, and myths out of these beasts. Unfortunately, their days of glory couldn't last long. By the 1700s, humans had come a long way from those ancient days, with such inventions as gunpowder and naval warfare to name a few. This led to a mass massacre of these beasts. During the 1900s, these cryptids would be almost entirely eradicated. All that was left was the sparse evidence that mostly consists of hoaxs, and a few meager or naturally occurring cryptids.
But it wasn't the end of the supernatural beasts.

Since the sporadic release of radiation in 1986 (Which is still being researched today and remains undisclosed, with Chernobyl mostly serving as a cover up), we have seen an aberrant rise in what would be considered a cryptid. However, these aren't like anything like the conventional cryptids which have been almost entirely driven out. Rather, a whole new generation of aberrant life.
This isn't an emerging age of kaiju, though. A whole menagerie of life has come through, with sizes ranging from near microscopic to larger than any other creature on the planet.
At the current moment, roughly 600 different kinds of this new generation of cryptids have been discovered, though this amount could vary, due to false reports or misidentification. They can be found all over the world, with some sort of correlation of the environmental conditions and the creatures. They seem to appear in relation to environmental conditions that at least somewhat suit them (A few have even begun to establish themselves among the local fauna).
The ways these beasts are dealt with vary, though practices used when faced with these can be neutralization, containment, and experimentation. Additionally, while almost all governments around the world have tried to keep info on these organisms and activities around them extremely low, there have been leaks of info, including The Bloop.
Thanks to our far more advanced technology we have documented a total of 4 appearances of portals (Though there have been countless more). While among government operations, venturing into these dimensions is strictly prohibited and anyone who has committed the act has likely been detained.
At this point, there have been _ identified alternate realities. It is unknown if this is the only amount that are able to spawn upon the Earth, or the same that the monstrosities of old came from.
At the current rate at which the cryptids are emerging, there seems to no faltering with the emergence of new specimens. Thus, we have documented each of these weird lifeforms in what could either be a series of odd events forgotten in history or a whole new era for Earth.
